C & K | Philadelphia, PA

Cesar and Kevin are one of the most wonderful couples in the bunch. The love that flows through them and the people that surround them was so vibrant and true. We had an incredible day walking around Historical Philadelphia in the afternoon capturing fun and "Vanity Fair" images of Kevin, Cesar and their friends. Plus the guys and their whole crew looked like absolute rockstars.

The evening was spent at the Historical Powel House with delicious food, lots of laughs and waterfalls of champagne. Kevin and Cesar could not have orchestrated a better day filled with love, happiness, smiles, dancing, and bubbles. Love is love.

Sam | Boudoir

Sam was my first boudoir shoot and I could not have asked for it to go better. When I asked Sam to be my first model he was flattered, nervous but SO down. We had a lot of fun talking about the shoot beforehand, getting inspired and executing the shoot. I cannot wait for more of these amazing and liberating boudoir shoots. I want to remind everyone, boudoir photography does not have to be for someone else. You can absolutely do it to feel self love, freedom and most of all just S-E-X-Y for you!

This couple was such a blast to shoot. Rosy and Yosef were visiting NY from Miami but are originally from Mexico City. New York is one of their favorite places to travel and for this trip they were able to leave the kids at home and come have some much needed adult time. We walked around South Street Seaport and got some great shots of the them in the city.

Upstate Roaming Co Collaboration

Over the past 3 days I was deep in the woods of Upstate NY working on a collaboration with Ashwinn Upstate Roaming Co. I discovered this amazing company by stumbling on their Instagram (@roamingconyc) after Ashwinn liked one of my images. We then built a bond over the outdoors and creating new imagery for this adventure company's website and social media.

Point Reyes, CA

Another day on the road meant another day with the wind tugging at my hair, the calming scent of the sea breeze, and the slight pain of not having cruise control. Driving to Point Reyes was another journey at left me in awe. Every turn a new sight to see, a new quirky town, or another giant towering Redwood tree. Once I arrived at Point Reyes, I happily had the beach to myself.

Pacific Coast Highway

As any traveler who has experienced even just a segment of the Pacific Coast Highway, one knows the true magic of those long winding roads. I spent only one day driving from San Fransisco to Big Sur and back. I was hoping to continue further but there was a bridge out and I had to turn back.

Trying Something New

The greatest failure in life is failure to try. Being afraid of the unknown and different things is the greatest burden one could ever put upon themselves. With travel comes new people, new experiences, new emotions, new everything. So far while in Nepal I have tried different food, never knew what the hell momos or dal bhat was until now.  I've met new people and began learning a new language. I've opened myself to strange situations and in return have learned new skills.

The Back Streets: Unknown Territory

Have no fear of moving into the unknown, simply step out fearlessly. It is within the unknown that one can discover, learn, and find inspiration. Today I took a walk in the back streets and alleys of the residential neighborhood I have been living in. The neighborhood was scattered with little shops out of people's homes selling cold coca-cola and crispy snacks. Everyone friendly as usual here in Nepal.

The Beauty of Travel

The wonders of travel are endless. Smells, tastes, voices, laughter, mountains, rivers, they all stand strong in my memory of each place I have visited. There are nooks and crannies that will forever lie undiscovered, but the ones I have been gifted with, nestled themselves in my memory bank, and have sewn together the person I am today.

Happiness

Through a whirlwind of travel, jetlag, a strange hotel room, and loony cab rides, I finally found myself at my new home in Satdobato. The mountains are wild, the city is bustling, and the nights are cool and filled with the sounds of dogs barking.  I felt nervous, happy, excited, scared, homesick, adventurous; a true hurricane of emotions. With the encouragement of family and friends I was able to concentrate my energy on only the power of good. From these feelings and from my experience with local Nepalese people I have started an exploration of happiness and meditation.

Dynamic Synergy

Teamwork is the capacity to work together toward a common objective and the ability to direct individual skills toward group success and achievement. It is the fuel that allows extraordinary people to attain remarkable results.  On the project sites in Nashtar and Chuwatar, the 16J volunteers and their communities are the epitome of collaboration, teamwork, and an energetic and diligent work ethic. Volunteers are amped to be trailblazers for a new project concept, WASH, (Water and Sanitation and Hygiene) and have gotten the ball rolling quickly. With a common goal and a few shovels, the team has taken bold leaps every day to achieve what needs to be done in their brief, but productive 5 week time frame.
